What Our Customers Say
EXCELLENT Based on 342 reviews Posted on Evan SolotTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Sachiko took us on an amazing tour in Kanazawa. She’s knowledgable, fun, and very flexible in shaping the tour around our particular interests. We’d scheduled an itinerary built around art and artisans. She took us to a fascinating gold leaf workshop and to visit the finest embroidery experts still working in Kanazawa. We’d never have thought of these on our own and they both turned out to be unexpectedly amazing. We highly recommend Sachiko and Kanazawa Tours!Posted on Lisa HallinanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Sachiko Nakai was our guide for a day in Kanazawa. She took us around the Samurai district, Geisha district, to an artisan kimono workshop and for a wonderful udon noodle lunch. Sachiko was so knowledgeable; we learned a huge amount about the history and culture of Kanazawa. But best of all, Sachiko was utterly delightful company and a pleasure to be with for the day! Not all tour guides are the same. If you are looking for a wonderful tour guide, seek out Sachiko!Posted on Tim Ogata (Tjogata92756)Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our small group of four had an outstanding tour of Takeyama by local guide Kumiko Mitsuhata. Her knowledge of local history, culture and cuisines helped make our tour informative and tasty. Her positive and energetic personality made our tour fun despite having wet weather for most of the tour. Thank you Kumiko for sharing your beautiful Takayama City with us.Posted on Tom HollmannTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I are visiting Japan for the first time and we were lucky enough to have Ai as our guide in Kanazawa. She was very easy to get along with and very thoughtful. The tour was interesting and Ai made it that much better. 10 out of 10 and would highly recommend.Posted on Eva LeungTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Saya was the best!! She showed us so much around Kanazawa, so much more than we had expected. First stop we had a lot of fresh sashimi and good food at the Omicho market, and then a quick snack on the way to the Historic Chaya district, where Saya shared a lot of history about the geisha tradition and also the Shinto religion. We had a lot of fun and regret that we didn’t do this T the start of our trip in Kanazawa so we know what to eat for the rest of our time here!Posted on Claudia HauerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My travel agent booked this tour for me, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I felt at ease from the start! The entire tour exceeded my expectations. I learned so much about Kanazawa's history, saw beautiful and inspiring places, and every single question was answered. I fell a little bit in love with Kanazawa and would love to return in the winter. If I do, I will definitely book another tour with the same guide! It was a pleasure. 😊Posted on Elizabeth FernandezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ms. Sachiko is a wonderful guide! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. She brought visual aids and introduced us to the interesting history of Kanazawa’s samurai and geisha. I would absolutely recommend her tour.Posted on Dr. Claus-Jürgen KrenzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Zwei sehr interessante Touren und mit Ian sowie Saya überaus kompetente BegleitungPosted on John CrittendenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a very enjoyable and informative tour of some of Kanazawa’s historic sites and traditional craft studios with our delightful guide, Sachiko. She picked us up at our ryokan and took us on a fascinating exploration of the city that included demonstrations of gold leaf making, Kaganui embroidery, and Kaga-yugen kimono silk painting. She also guided us through the former Chaya Shima geisha house, now restored and a museum, telling us about the history of the geisha community over the centuries. Also on our itinerary was the beautiful modernist D.T. Suzuki Museum, dedicated to the Buddhist philosopher of that name, where Sachiko took us through the Water Mirror Garden and the Contemplative Space. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch with Sachiko at a curry restaurant. She brought us to the various locations at a perfect pace, imparting lots of interesting information without overwhelming us. She was very attentive to our interests and needs, and we felt like we were out for a day with a friend rather than a tour guide. Sachiko’s English is very good, and anglophones will find her enjoyable to listen to and able to answer questions with friendly enthusiasm. We are pleased to give Sachiko our highest endorsement!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
